They say there are no permanent friends or foes in Bollywood. Take the case of actor Katrina Kaif. Katrina, who largely owes her career to actor and rumoured beau Salman Khan, had stopped signing movies with him after the debacle called Yuvraaj, which was in 2008. Moreover, the duo did not star in any movie together for last three years. However, buzz is that she is smart enough to understand the drift of the wind and does not want to lose out on working with Salman, the current reigning star. As a result, buzz is the duo is not only doing a movie for Yash Chopra’s production house, but is also being hotly chased by many more filmmakers. Several industrywallahs feel what has led to this sudden surge, may be have to do with Katrina wanting to make the most in Salman’s best phase of his career.

A source adds, “Undoubtedly Salman and Shah Rukh are the two most powerful Khans in the industry today. And currently Salman’s market value is a notch above than his contemporaries. He is hit on both small and big screen. So no actor today can afford to mess with him or be in his bad books. Therefore it seems his good old friend Katrina too understands the situation and is now trying to make the most of their friendship. But now until one sees their rekindled chemistry on screen it is hard to comment if this jodi will click again.”

Also, today Salman can make or break your career. “From newbies like Sonakshi Sinha to Zareen Khan, if Salman wants to make you a star he will. On one hand if Salman can do anything for his friends, he cannot take a ‘no’ from them. Katrina understands this trait of her friend and instantly agreed to do an item number in his forthcoming film. She apparently has also cancelled all her commitments to star alongside Salman in the YRF projects.She doesn’t wish to lose out on a friend who is one of the most influential men in the industry,” says a source.
