The film ‘Chennai Express’, starring actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, has run into trouble for using water from a dam in drought-hit Satara district of Maharashtra. Maharashtra relief and rehabilitation minister Patangrao Kadam confirmed that the state would be looking into the matter. While speaking to media persons on the premises of Vidhan Bhavan, Mr. Kadam said, “We will check on what grounds the permission to use water was granted.” The shoot of the film was on in Satara district of western Maharashtra, which is facing an acute drought.
