South beauty Taapsee Pannu has already taken  a plunge into  Bollywood. The actress will be seen being wooed by not one or two but three men -Ali zafar, Siddharth Narayan and Divyendu Sharma in the remake of Sai Paranjpe’s cult film ‘Chashme Baddoor’. The film is being directed by David DhawanTaapsee made her debut two years ago with Telugu film ‘Jhummandi Naadam’ and has so far been a part of Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil cinema in a big way. A little, with the thought that people will love the character as much as they loved Deepti Naval in the original. My character is named Seema, but the character sketch in the remake is totally different. My role in the movie is that of a quirky, naughty girl, along side Siddharth.

Bollywood bound: Taapsee Pannu

The role is very similar to my real self. Seema is more of this generation girl who believes in the notion of ‘her way or highway’... she is not the coy and shy type. I am very excited about the film. At present, we are busy promoting the movie online and on other media.‘Chashme Baddoor’ is more than a perfect launch for me. Viacom18 Motion Pictures, who are producing the film, have treated me like a star all the way...ever so supportive. David Sir too never made me feel that I am a newcomer. And the icing on the cake was that I am the only girl among three guys. What more could I have asked for. Even though the movie has a young starcast, the person who is the youngest at heart is David Sir. He is just like a child on the sets. The way he explains every scene and the way he keeps the energy level up all the time is commendable. Very encouraging and supportive director for a newcomer like me.

The most interesting fact about the shooting of ‘Chashme Baddoor’ was that we never felt we were shooting. It was more like a fun get-together on the sets. We finished shoot much within the days planned and with no stress anytime. Bollywood is a place where an actor can experiment happily as people are open to seeing you in different roles and scripts. So I have no bar in the kind of roles that I want to do in Bollywood...it’s just that I am looking forward to play characters of my age. I was just lucky to get launched in such a huge way in both Tamil and Telugu film industries. And post that what made me drive through was the love for my work. I enjoy working and that reflects in the end product. This is what keeps me going. In Telugu, I have my next release opposite Venkatesh in ‘’ and opposite Gopichand in another movie directed by Chandrashekhar Yeleti.
