For his series titled Actor Prepares – Behind the Success, Anupam Kher had an interesting tete-a-tete with the Barfi! star who shared his experiences with the veteran actor’s academy students. Anupam Kher’s initiative, Actor Prepares – Behind the Success, has been very popular with the students of his academy as it gives them an inside view of the behind-the-scenes stories of the hard work and struggles the actors go through. And one of the recent talents to have made his wave in the industry through sheer hard work and perseverance is Ranbir Kapoor who was invited to share his experiences with the students.

Introducing Ranbir, Kher said that the actor had emerged as the fastest growing talent among the young ones in show biz. “The unique aspect of Ranbir as an actor is that in each of his films he has emoted different characters, and with a great deal of credibility, yet maintaining his star status,” said Kher. Kapoor was open to a freewheeling and candid conversation with Kher, who quizzed him about his early days in Bollywood, his style of acting, how he researches for his roles and his advice to budding actors. While confessing that he was basically a shy person, Kapoor acknowledged that he would lose that shyness in front of the camera. “When the cameras roll, I start thinking that I am doing a job, so that is how I overcome my shyness,” the young heartthrob revealed, and went on to explain, “Family lineage or connections do not matter in the long run. There is no substitute for hard work.” Anupam Kher’s acting academy has a roster of Bollywood celebs, who share with the students their experiences and provide valuable tips to success in the industry.
