The makers of 'Munnabhai' series say that they are honing the script for the third installment of the cult series which will materialise soon. The third film in the Raju Hirani-directed 'Munnabhai' series is in pipeline after the first two projects 'Munnabhai MBBS' (2003) and 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' (2006) took the box office by storm.
"We always wanted to make the film. But the challenge is to make it better so waiting till the time the script gets better. But we will 100 per cent start it," director-scriptwriter Rajkumar Hirani told reporters here. Denying reports that the third installment is scrapped, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra said that the third film will soon be a reality.
"We have been working on the script for four years diligently. We have a script which we think will be ready in a month or two. We are hopeful of making it," Chopra said. Buzz in B-town was that Sanjay and Arshad are being replaced with Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi as Munna and Circuit in the upcoming project. "Sanju and Arshad would continue to play the role of Munna and Circuit respectively. I cannot imagine anyone else doing their roles. Both are suitable for the roles," Hirani said.
